Joy is coming...

Please look at the following sentences. Today’s world is becoming a far more dangerous place to live in that the past several centuriesTrue love is hard to find. Maybe it does not exist in our time.Surrounded by the sea of tears, quietly I cry  (this one is from s poem)
These are the sentences that I encountered in some of the ‘readers views’ column in our newspaper.  The fact that they reflect nothing but doom and gloom is not my concern. My concern is that these sentences have been written by school and college students.
The youth has the power to change our country. We cnnot afford these people thinking and talking such negative things.  Despite these writings, I still believe that the people who wrote that are actually optimistic.They are just confused. The students hear media and grown-ups (oh how I hate that term) talking these gloomy things and maybe they also toe the same line just to gain acceptability in the society.
I have seen some of the TV news channels and  newspapers…

The same sentence, original and edited. That is what I do. I work as a sub-editor with a newspaper (yes, again) but learning from my past experience, there are a few corrections.First, I do not work in the stressful news section chasing deadlines every minute. Instead, I am now a part of the supplements team. Second, I work a day shift; third, I work with an English newspaper.What I basically do is edit different columns where regular columnists as well as readers send in their articles for publishing. The chief editor for features then allots the material to sub-editors based on their choices.
